So how it all began…
Growing up, mum was a really good cook and Japanese food was definitely one of my family’s favourite dishes.
One day, this “baked sushi” trend was really huge overseas and we were curious as to how to try it without being there. We initially tried recreating the salmon aburi flavour and it actually turned out really well.
The sushi bake was really creamy, and that’s what makes it so addicting. We added a bit of sriracha to add a bit to the flavour and the some crumbs for the texture. Finally, we topped it with some smoked salmon just to blend in with the Melbourne brunch culture. This is surely something you would love to try out at least even for non-sushi lovers.
